Hopefully new member

Well i had a 98 monte carlo but finally been having issues and started looking for a new car. Was looking at first for a newer grand prix gtp. But looking through inventory i saw a few 04 gtos and now i dont htink i can buy any other car =-) i been finding them from 18-20k with very low miles. Looking around i would like an 05-06 but most of them are about 5k more. Im going to keep looking i dont need a car imediatly but i get impatiant and really want to get it soon =-) I was looking to get a 6 speed which i belive you guys call m6? thats the best way to go no? Any other suggetions before i commit to one of the cars.

Insurance, gas prices will go up. But this car is comfortable, mildly practical, highly upgradable. Besides, the GTP doesn't come in manual anyway. Good luck with either route you take.

The brakes on 04's are supposed to be fairly inadequite in comparison to 05. I wouldn't rush into a purchase until you are 100% sure of the differences. 20 thousand for an 04 with that amount of miles is average, but borderline high.

ok thats what i am looking to hear. SOme things like exhaust being single to dual i dont care cuase i will end up replacing with new header back etc. But if theres somthing more major you cant swap out with aftermarket thats what i want to know about. The price i have been seeing about the same as far as my area. there was one in the 18ks but was purple =-/ There was an 06 i might look at its 1100 miles 18k dollars. Needs body work cause someones angry girlfriend keyed dented it etc. cut the dash. I'm going to drive that black one in the morning this way i can say no and see if they negotiate etc. Going to also look at a few other places and see what there willing to do. Thanks for the help

That's the spice red at Cleveland Pick apart. I think they only want $15K for it now. Alot of minor differences on the 06, such as the hood and the exhaust but the biggest difference is the LS2 vs. the LS1. With a Goat, anyone you buy is awesome. I like my A4 but an M6 is way cool. Good luck and upload pictures.[/quote]
