my first GTO

Well, I am 17 and I just bought my first GTO. Its an 04 with minor damage to the front. I bought it and I plan on doing all the work myself, since I have rebuilt a few trucks and I love doing this kind of work myself. Its got the 5.7 and a 4 speed auto. Black with red and black interior. So far I love the car its been a dream for the past few yeras to own one of these. I have a K&N for it, as well as Flowmasters. This is all thats done to it so far, but we'll see how far my wallet takes me. Just glad I had a chance to get one of these.

Eric

Congrats and welcome aboard. Why don't you take and post some pics of the damage and the repairs when you're done? I'd like to see your work. Good luck with it.

I'll do my best to be careful with the power, I can't wait until I am done with it so I can take it down to the track and see what kind of times I can get, but here are some pictures of it. The front suspension is not damages, its all body parts and the windshield, and that was only cracked because the hood hit it, not because of anything bent or weird like that. Right now its all torn apart in my garage and I'm looking for parts. I may have a pair of fenders already, and possibly a hood. When I'm done with the car I just want a nice car thats fun to drive.

Welcome to the herd dude! Take your time putting that beauty back together. The whole herd's pulling for ya.
Dustin.
p.s. When you get it fixed, don't take the traction control off and slam her down full throttle while going from a 10-15 mph rolling start, you'll end up in the body shop like I did. They like to go sideways, and FAST, too fast to correct the fact that you're not going straight anymore

Good luck repairing my baby's twin! And if you haven't already found it, Cleveland pick-a-part seems to do a pretty good business in our Goats. I have never dealt with them, but I am sure some on here have and can give you feed back. Enjoy it

On a side note, are you looking to go back to stock or are you doing some upgrades while you're at it?
