Welcome to the forums.
I believe that's called a clutch safety switch. Crossing the two wires that connects there and you would be by-passing the switch and the car starter should work with the key again until you can get a replacement switch.

Charles

Does anyone know where to purchase one of these parts??
Let me know,,,

and last but not least,,the person I'm getting the gto from has many engines and heads for sale, lots of ram air stuff, also tri power setups ,saw a ra4 or 5 sr block with dealer tag on it and about 6 other more rare gto engines from 67 ,68 ,69 ,the stuffs not cheap but if you need something I could ask them,,they have 4 other gtos for sale, one I remember is a 67 400 ho car with air and 4 speed ,I will need part numbers or dates to look for certain items,,no promises they have what you need but I could check,,
Charles

I'd like to find a 421SD, 428 or a spare `65 389 engine/blocks.
