Welcome. I am new here myself and have been contenplating modifications but want to research everything first. For example, from talking around, just an air filter with the stock airbox opposed to an entire air intake kit puts down the same numbers. Again, just what I hear, but lets do our research first.

That is completely false. The factory airbox is very restrictive and draws hot air into the engine. Replacing it w/ a full cai kit will lower intake temps, allow more air into the engine and smooth out the air flow path, resulting in more hp and much improved throttle response. I recently installed a kn cai after having the kn drop in for a few weeks and the difference is well worth it. The car feels much more responsive and sounds great too.

Mods/welcome

First off Welcome!!! Second, the mods can be extreme or not so extreme.

Not so extreme Good exhaust, CAI, TBS, and a programmer. Oh, Gauge pods are a must, they look nice but no performance added from them.

Extreme: Exhaust/headers, cam, suspension, brakes, NOS, etc.!
