2004 vs 2006

As of right now I have a 2004 Yellow Jacket M6 GTO. It has 17,400 miles, mint. It has SAP spoiler, custom cowl hood, lowered, wheels power coated black, shifter, New Era intake, and a 421 Bobcat Kit. It also was taken to New York where it was dyno tuned. I love the car, but I might be abe to get my hands on a 2006 GTO Silver M6 with the 18 inch wheels, not sure of the interior color. It has 16,000 miles and is bone stock. I can get this for $19,000. The 2006 is bone stock and to get it to where my 04 is it would cost $5-6000 for the mods. And I know when you mod you car it loses value, so I wouldn't want to keep it stock. I plan on doing heads, cam, and a supercharger in the future to my 04, so I don't know if I'd want a bone stock 06. And also some when people ask about my GTO, some ask if its the 6.0 Liter and when I say its a 5.7 they say oo you should have gotten the 6.0. Beside the engine being alittle bigger and dual exhaust and the hood they are the same cars. The 6.0 liters are only .2-.3 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile stock for stock, some people don't appreciate the 04. So what would any of you guys do, go with the 06 or keep the 04?

I didn't have the option of buying an 06. I only paid $15,000 for my 04 with all those mods done it already, and I doubt I'll find another deal like that again.

don't forget the brakes on the 04 basically suck

as far as getting the cheap cars all you need to do is pick up a lemon or flood car......those are the super cheap cars with a questionable history

I could easily upgrade the brakes, I was planning slotted and cross drilled rotors and the 05-06 calipers
