Im getting married, hopefully in March. Unfortunately I have to get rid of my GTO to use the money on more important things. I am looking for someone to take over the lease payments on my 2006 M6 torrid red GTO. It is has 12 months remaining on the lease with a residual value of $17,323 and is through GMAC. There is a $595 transfer fee that applies on it. I have a mileage allowance of 45,000 miles and the car currently has less than 14,000 miles on it. My current payment is $523/month and I have 12 payments left. The car is in as new condition as Ive driven it to and from work. The car should be worth substantially more than the residual value on it and would be a great buy for someone who can make those payments for one year. Leave a message for pictures as I havent been able to get the pics on this site.

There is a website that was on nbc10 news called lease trader. You can list your car information and they will find someone looking for your type of vehicle. check it out.
I'll have to check out the lease trader website. Yeah...I dont know what the insurance fraud thing is all about. I called GMAC about a lease transfer and it is a perfectly legal thing to do. Someone simply takes over the payment, and since the title is in GMAC's name, insurance fraud isnt relevant.

I agree with you. People transfer leases all the time. It is perfectly normal and legal. Do you have a buy out option at the end of the lease?

I have done it with a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Off Road! It was too easy actually, never had to go anywhere, just faxed papers back and forth from leasing company and new buyer, simple. It broke my heart to see her drive away though. '01 Dodge Ram 1500, White, Off road package, GoodYear MTR Tires, ARE fiberglass matching tonneu cover, Volant cold air intake, poweraid throttle body spacer, flowmaster orignial series exhaust tips coming out behind rear wheel, Pioneer stereo system with XM satelite radio, remote start, bedliner(never used it), Yes, I had a buy out option, and so wil the new owner. I wanted a '04 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP at the time which my in laws had on their Pontiac-Buick Dealership lot used, with only 3,000. miles on it. I know the lady who owned it, and had bought it thinking she was getting some big cash settlement and didnt. She had dogs and bought a suv as well, so she got rid of the GTP. It was a nice steal.
