WTB - 04/05 GTO 6sp

Hey GTO fans,

I want to buy a GTO. It absolutely must be a 6sp, and absolutely not purple.

I am looking in the $15k - $16k range total and have the cash in hand.

Located in MN so something in the area would be great.

Andy

Well, it's not local to you (SE Michigan), but the dealer where I got mine (Prestige Pontiac, Buick, GMC, Ypsilanti, MI, new & used cars, auto repair & parts. - do a used car search w/appropriate parameters and you'll find the listing, although it's not very detailed...my black/black '04 is still on there too as of today) just received an '04 Red/Black as a trade-in early this month (I thought it had an M6, but web listing says auto) with just under 60,000 miles that the used car manager said he could sell for $15,800 (IIRC, that was out the door including MI 6% sales tax & other fees).

Thanks, I see the listing. The Black one looks nice. I am going to take a look at an 04 red over red/black with a 6sp, 42k miles and no winters tonight, fingers crossed that it's everything the owner says it is.

Well, that was a waste of time. "MINT" condition seems to mean a lot of different things to different people. To me at least, "MINT" condition is not a car that's been hit in the front and rear and had a bad repair. Scratches on every panel (one over 12" long) and a Check Engine light on.

Oh well, the hunt continues.

I bought a car on Friday, thanks to all that helped. I went down a slightly different route... CTS-V, but at least it's a GM.

how much did you pick up the cts-v for? with how many miles?

and isn't that car plagued with electrical issues?

sorry not trying to rain on your parade, just that that's the only thing stopping me from getting one of those cars, since that car is absolutely badass

I feel like I stole the car...

I paid $20,991 with 62k miles. It's a Certified car so comes with a warranty to 100k miles or 8/1/2011, whichever comes first. Clean carfax and very clean overall.

My wifes drives an 03 CTS. It has 55k miles on it now and we have never had an electrical problem, car has been great. The only problem we've ever had with the car was a thermostat.
