Electrical Wiring Nightmare

I am hoping that someone may be able to help me, I have a 1970 GTO,

It was originally a 400 with th400 auto. It currently has a 1974 Chevrolet 350 engine with what i believe is the original th400.

I am trying to find someone in the metro Cincinnati area that has performed electrical work in the past. The car is in pretty rough shape, It was rewired with a different wiring harness from a completely different car and spliced into the existing harness. This left a mess of cut wires, taped wires, wires going no where and leaving me with a lot of questions. I have got the car running using a test switch and direct running wires to the battery and starter. I need to find someone locally to help me install a new engine wiring harness and under dash harness or to do the installation themselves. I am hopeful to get a this GTO back on the road..

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I'm in the process of getting my 64 running with all new harnesses. It isn't as hard as some make it out to be, especially if you have the luxury of existing wiring to help you figure it all out. Get a wiring diagram for your car and mark each plug and socket as you remove them. Lay the whole mess out on a table and match up as much as you can with the new harness. The manual should help figure out the hacks previous owners did.
