What is the differance fuel sending unit

What is the differance in th 3/8" and the 5/16" in the fuel sending unit? is one for gto and the other for lemans? just trying to think! what is your thought? John

Welcome to GTOforum, 3/8 is used on A/C cars and 5/16 is for non-A/C cars,
