What stereo for 69 Goat?

Hey guys, I need help;

I am in the process of gettin' my 69 Goat cleaned up and the like and would like to put in a stereo. I would like to have one of the newer ones and it does not have to be original. The point of my question is this; All I have found in the catalogs are the ones they offer for up to about 1967. Can I use the offerings for a Chevelle as it is an A Body as well? Are the dashes that different?

I would like to use the stock hole and knob set up.

Are there specific models that don't cost $500.00??????

I would love some direction here and appreciate it highly.

Thanks a lot.

Don Bartlett

The Paddock lists hide-away CD changers that leave the original radio intact.
The Paddock Performance and Restoration Parts - Secret Audio AM/FM Hideaway Stereo
The Parts Place Is The Largest Supplier Of Chevrolet Buick Oldsmobile and Pontiac Restoration Parts also lists an (optional)10disk CD changer, but it sounds like it does go into the orignal hole. Search for a part # RD3288G and check it out. Give them a call before you order to verify it`s what you need.

I didn't want to cut my dash so I used an under dash installation kit. Good thing about it is that I could then install any stereo that I wanted. For $500 I installed a nice CD player, 4 channel amplifer, and speakers. Here's a picture of it.
