Ya didn't come back Chris!! I was wanting to chat more, meet your wife, and check out your truck. I was a bit busy when you arrived and didn't have time to chat. I kept looking for you. I figured you were going through goat withdraw.
I'll be in Parsippany for the Eastern Regionals in 2 weeks, stop by.
Great seeing you guys again Red. I'm glad for pics, my wife took a bunch, so did Russ. I didn't get a chance to browse the show field much. Sonic was good too. heck, it's always good.

Make sure that the cars shows are posted here so that I can still make some and visit everyone. I'll will be back in a Pontiac, just dont know when. Next year or the following..The ole Sierra isnt really a bad truck, she is actually fun to drive after my mods...I'll try to keep her for a daily driver maybe.
I'll PM you for those decals. Let me know how much I'll owe ya.

Sorry Vic, I was gonna stop back but the two ladies had me shoppin' til my feet started hurting. took the little girl on a horse/buggy ride around the Amish lands, ended up having lunch, visited a petting farm and actually saw some real live goats!!
I had a great time yesterday and understood you were busy with organizing everything. I showed the family my after market parts on your car and told them my goat was here in spirit... Keep me posted on future events like this it will be great to see you guys again, and like I told red, one day I'll be back in a Pontiac. With a brother in law owning a Pontiac Dealership its kinda of hard not for me to be in a Pontiac... Chat with ya'll soon. It was a nice show.
Vic,
Good time had by all.... and great to see ya's again.... Sonic was like old times, lol.
Chris,
I'll keep ya posted. I sent you a link for the 9/11 Ride For Pride. We also have a few events in Sept and Oct you might be interested in... so I'll pass along those links as well. Oh, the below twin turbo GTO from VA was supposed to make the run up with us but rolled in late. If I only had pockets deep enough for a 750hp monster... lol.

We had a terrific response to our first annual All Pontiac Show. 100 cars registered and were shown. We had a diverse crowd of Pontiac's. From a 1933 Roadster, 47' Streamliner 8, 49' Silver Streak to the new age GTO's.
One particular car caught my attention. An original 1977 TA Bandit. The original owner rolled it out to bring to our show. The odometer registered 191 original miles. This car was exquisite with the original tires and all. He has only had it out 4 times in 31 years and we were proud to have it displayed at our show. There were so many beautiful cars it was hard to pick favorites. The top 10 best of show were voted on by registered participants. There was a 4 way tie for 9th place so we awarded 13 prizes and the dealer gave his best of show trophy to a 1973 TA. Matching numbers, original owner, all paperwork and it was purchased at that dealership 35 years ago. All the winners will be receiving digitized pictures matted and framed of their car.
I have included a few pics, and a link to a comprehensive file of show cars.
Vic,
My friendly and only critique.... SVGTO should consider classes instead of a 10 best format or another judging format that covers 25~30% of your entrants instead of a 10% award ratio. Nothing wrong in the winners chosen, all very nice rides and a few I voted for or how SVGTO ran the show. But, to build upon its success and keep interest in repeat attendance, you need to spread the kudos' across the show field that attends.
My reason for pointing this out.... I couldn't help but notice that collectively of all participants that showed up, the new gen GTO's represented the largest single group of cars there. Not a one was selected for an award of any type. Maybe that fupa was overlooked in the planning and should be considered before your next show. I'm pointing it out not just for that segment but for smaller segments of the show field that might feel the same way because there were many more car owners from the broad field that should have received a pat on the back as well.
I hope you don't take this "something to think about to make it better" as a poke in the eye because overall, a great job was done in organizing and running the event!
Red.

Overall judging as was done for this show which worked in the past, however in the past the club didn't experience the numbers that showed this day. We started with a "0" base and didn't know what to expect. The amount of cars that showed that day far exceeded our expectations. Class judging will be a topic to improve on for next year. There is NO way a 2006 car can compete with a vintage car in the same class. With the numbers that showed this year we can get a good idea on what to expect next year.
I was going over improvements that day in my noggin and classes was one. Last year only 27 cars showed so we didn't really know what to expect this year. You are correct though, there needs to be a fairer way of recognition.
No poke in the eye taken, your opinion is always welcomed, and appreciated. 100 Pontiac's at a show is a lot. I have been to many area car shows where there were far less than 100 of all make cars combined. I am looking forward to improving and building on our first major event.

Another comment on judging. I liked to idea of voting for three when you were going to have 10 winners. Made me think abit before voting. If you do not want to go to a class system, just increase the number of winners. Based on a 100 cars a top 25 is all you need.
