Disappointing to read.... people need thicker skins when reading postings on the interwebz.
I agree 1 million percent. What ever happened to the old saying 'sticks and stones'? If somebody doesn't agree with something, don't read, look at, or listen to it. People need to stop being a bunch of wash-women and grow a set.
And BTW, WingNut HAS to come back.

I totally disagree with everything you said. There are forum rules and whether you like it or not you have to follow them. When someone feel that they have been completely disrespected they have a right to say something about it. When it's multiple members reporting the same person then we (admin) have a job to do... period. All members can report posts that doesn't fit well with them. Just because someone may think something is funny doesn't mean that the person it's directed to thinks the same. I for the most part have very thick skin. But if something negative is directed towards my family, as an example, then the "sticks and stones may break my bones..." crap means absolutely nothing. My thick skinned, cool demeanor goes out the window. The bottom line is respect begets respects. Play by the rules and everything will be cool.

I agree. I do play by the rules but some people just need to grow the hell up and learn when someone is joking around. If they can't take an insult then they shouldn't be on a public forum. Just my opinion.

I understand where you coming from but on the other hand there is a thin line between a joke and an insult. Before I get pissed at something directed towards me I always read the post a few times if I don't get it right away. For the most part, they're not meant in a bad way. There are times where I had to send someone a pm because I did read into a post the wrong way. So yeah, some need to know when a joke is really a joke. When someone does have a problem with another member admin always take a look at the situation as a whole and then make a decision on what to do next. Honestly, compared to other forums, we are probably the most lenient ones out there. We try to give warnings through pm's before any drastic actions are taking. I think that is the fair way of handling problems.
As far as Wing_Nut goes, I never had a personal problem with him. I look at him as one of the valuable "senior" members we have here. He's even hit me up with some of his off beat humor and I knew it was just that from some of his pass posts directed to me. If it means anything to those who are concerned, Wing_Nut is not banned from what I know. Maybe he's taking a break or maybe he decided to move on. Who knows? It's his choice so I guess he'll be back when he's ready.

I agree. This board is great because of the moderators it has.

Sadly, Wing_Nut died about two weeks ago in a street race at 3AM in the morning in Beaver, PA when the Buick GNX he was driving failed to shave the apex of a curve on Hard Hill Road at over 150MPH.
The closed casket funeral was held in Blue Ball, PA. Wing_Nut was on his way to a club race in Climax, PA but regretably never reached it. The car was sent to a restoration specialist near Intercourse, PA. As executor of the estate I am trying to clean up his affairs.
