thought I would ask this here so I don't try to piss off some people. (this is not a gto question)........I have a 1960 elcamino that has a glass problem, not that it's not there but it's scratched to crap, 45 years of it. Not deep mind U. my question is I have never tryed polish or buff glass and was wondering if anyone here has? I would love to find new glass for it but I don't want to give up my childern for it ither .

Has anyone ever done this or point me to product, kit, cheats?

Although companies market "glass polish," the stuff pretty much doesn't work.

Also, there are companies which service windshields at car dealers. While they're good for injecting resin into a crack to prevent it from spreading -- they don't do anything to fix optical imperfections like media blasting and pitting.

You could try something somebody else recommends -- but don't hold out too much hope. Even light scratching means polishing a piece of tempered glass down to the point where they blend in. Do that by hand -- even with the assist of power tools -- is next to an impossible task.
