Talking Roof Inner Structure 1966 GTO/LeMans

Hey Fellas,

Looking for a roof inner structure for my 66 GTO. The car I have has the structure pretty much rusted away, it's the brace that goes across from LH to RH in the front where the roof meets the windshield. I've included a file attachment (pic) so y'all can see what my problem looks like. Thank you for your time!

Bert, we just bought a full 1966 roof to replace just the "skin" on a damaged vinyl top car.
I'll take a look at the forward frame/brace and see if it's worth using and let you know ASAP.

Bert,
Was over at the shop to look at the replacement '66 roof that was brought in.
Overall it looks to be in great shape I just wasn't able to flip it up by myself.
Its my understanding that Mike (Body Guy) is planning on using just the skin but I do not know how he plans to graft it.
He wasn't around so I can't say what and when until I speak with him. I want to be sure of how he plans on cutting this.
The bad thing is he does this work for us on his schedule so bare with me.
I'll check on it later in the week to hopefully get a solid answer.

Bert,
Just back from the shop. The plan is to cut out spot welds at front of roof and gutters so as to separate skin.
This should work and cause no problems with the support/bracing you need.
If this does not transpire within the next few weeks I will let you know so as not to hold you up.
If you need to go another route I fully understand.
I wish I could give you an exact time frame but Mike is freelancing this for us ever since our in house guy moved.
What makes this even harder is this is a hobby shop not a full fledged active shop. We do this for fun

Bert,
Skin is off!
The support/frame structure looks good within the front main section.
Take a look at the pic's and let me know what you think.
If you would like larger images shoot me your email and I'll send them over.
