Newer member here and I'm looking to educate myself on 1966 Ram Air cars. Are there any books/website dedicated to these cars? I have searched and not come up with many details other than the cars has different valve springs and cam but no specs on either. Any help would be appreciated.

The '66 RA cars had engines stamped XS. The RA package could be installed by a dealer and was released on January 31,1966. The factory release of the package installed in cars was February 1966. One source states that 190 engines were assembled and believed to have found a home in about 185 cars, while another source states approximately 300 dealer installed packages were released and 25-35 XS models were factory installed. My books state the factory built cars had to be ordered with 4.33 gearing and the M21 close ratio 4-speed only.

-389CI rated @ 360HP
-Tripower carbs having the tub and open hood scoop
-Outboard carbs were Front - #7025178 , Center - #7026075 , Rear - #7025179 - all the same as the WS 360HP engine.
-Used the GTO #93 heads.
Cam was the "744" stamped letter code "H" and also used in the early production Ram Air III engines. Duration: 301INT/313EX, Lift .406", 76 degrees of overlap.
-Valve springs were #9785720 which was a single spring and damper.
-A 4-way fuel fitting #9785755 and fuel line fitting #538570 were used.

Two of the 1966 XS cars were campaigned by the Royal Pontiac Racing Team.
