2 67 GTOs need some help

first off hello and thanks for any help i get. alright a few miles down the road are 2 GTOs both are 4 speeds one is a kinda dark blue, hard top car kind of a hull no rear end or motor/ trans. the second is a white red interior and had a vinyl top. has whats left of a 400 no trans has rear end. but its also a post car( i think its called a sport coupe like 7000 built) iv got pictures of firewall tags for both cars. i am sure the blue one is kinda common but is there any chance the white one is rare in anyway? can anyone maybe tell me how many white, red interior ,vinyl top, 4 speeds. may have been built?

Welcome. I have a '67 "Sport Coupe", another one of the 7k. Unfortunately, there is no source for determining how many of what kind. PHS can tell you all about the car by providing a build sheet, but no one has ever compiled all the details for each into one data base. Post a picture of the trim tag here and the tag gurus will decode it for you. I think you might find a trim tag decoder link if you search on this forum. Maybe it's an HO or Ram Air car which would give it some value, especially if the motor is original to the car and rebuildable. BTW another member of this forum is looking for the moldings for a post car. If the car isn't worth rebuilding, at least salvage the parts that are unique to a sport coupe, as they will be needed by someone. Here's some info about options etc. you might enjoy. https://www.gtoforum.com/f12/1967-gto...er-info-91058/

I use Photobucket for free. You post a link to the album like:

One you have a photo loaded, should see these choices below the photo. Left click on img and it should turn blue. Then right click on it and you should get a choice to copy. Left click on that and then return to this thread. Once you've typed your msg, right click in the body of the msg and select paste. You'll see a string of letters and numbers that may be a couple of lines long. Click on post and the picture should show.

I will give a try to decode the coupe using the info in the Legend.
Built 1st week Dec '67 at the Pontiac, MI plant. Paint and interior code looks like C C, so that's Cameo Ivory with a red interior. It has a 4 sp console with an outside remote mirror and deluxe seat belts. I don't know what the letter B means after the 225 interior code. If you can read the 2 letter code on the block that will tell more. The standard 400 block with a 4sp would be a WT. I can't tell what the 4 and 2G mean in the lower right. And there doesn't seem to be number 1, 2, or 3 anywhere indicate a vinyl top. Let's hope those who are good at this will jump in.

TR225 B = red bucket seat inter, there were trim codes for a bench seat for '66-72 models

No first group, thus std glass, no tint

2 LG...2nd Group, L is 4spd, the G is for a console.

No 3rd Group options...

4th group, F is remote mirror
(will have hole to route the cables through on exterior of door)

5th group...Y is Dix belts

Most every '67's down this way were built out of KC and were optioned:

E 2EZGR.... Have numbers and options and other info wrote down on multiple dozen '67 GTO's out of KC plant that were either parted on, or I owned as project cars.

we did end up buying them the other day kinda a package deal with a old farmall super C and a scraper blade and bush hog. tractor and other stuff should clear the cars. like i said they are hulls kinda but alright projects. i did some adding up on a few parts and when u start with nothing in the cars, around 3000 for all the body stuff maybe needed. and if i did all of it myself i wouldnt have alot in the cars just as side projects..

whats a rolling hull all body work done worth?? both post and hardtop
