Garage
It's a nice enough looking car, but it never sits well with me to do the "GTO clone" thing.

1966 Tempests and Lemans are nice looking cars without this bit of trickery. I have no problem with putting the GTO hood on one of them, but adding GTO emblems is a sham.

Go ahead and put a big honking V8 in them, upgrade the brakes and suspension, put a nice paint job on and nice interior in and cruise on.

These cars are nice enough to "stand on their own".

El Monte Slim nailed it. Also, this one was not even really a clone....just GTO emblems and a hood. Not even a grille. the GTO emblem is on the wrong side of the grille, with no parking lights, no wheel well trim, etc. This car would be nicer if it were left alone and had a great drivetrain. I have always preferred the '66 Tempest/LeMans tail lights over the '66 GTO's louvers....and I've owned a few '66 GTO's! Clones, IMO, are, indeed, a sham.
