'68 GTO Parts question.....

I have a '68 GTO with hideaway headlights.....looking for the Hideaway
door on the drivers side with the Chrome trim.......everyone I've found online just comes in ALL black.

Anyone have any suggestions where to go??

Reply: Parts question.....

https://www.gtoforum.com/photopost/di.../514/grill.jpg

Those 2 links you set up show exactly what I bought from OPG......the ALL-BLACK door part. (BTW....thanks for the Chrome-trim (outer) link)
The part I'm not finding is the main door part with the silver RIBS....
I found a pic (I posted the link above...) that matched my car perfect.

Is this Silver-Rib I'm seeing something that was added someplace
maybe during painting? It seems like every '68 Goat I've seen looks
exactly like mine ( and the link above...)

Thanks in advance for all the Help.....

Not exactly sure what you are questioning. The ribs need to be painted. Use a paint like krylon fusion, I have seen some painted with silver and some painted w a grey or charcoal color. For best results paint the grilles at the same time so they match. I have seen alot of the grilles and headlamp doors painted black (the previous owner of my car had the grilles painted black). I prefer the factory look, like the picture you posted. My 24 year old son said he preferred the black. FWIW. Hope this helps.
