69 weird electrical problem

Hi guys; we have this weird electrical problem. When all 4 brake lights work, the windshield wipers don't. If I then leave the wiper switch on the wipers work after a while and the inner left brake lights don't.

Thanks, Martin

First thing to check: Grounds!

Check all the grounds for your rear lamps and also make sure the dash/IP grounds are in good condition.

Also make certain your engine-to-body, body-to-frame and engine-to-body grounds are good.

I install redundant ground cables from the taillight housings to the frame rail on these cars; that usually eliminates the tail light problems.

+1 on the grounds. Also don't just assume because there is a ground cable it is a "good" ground. Take them loose and clean off any rust, paint or corrosion so it makes good contact. I also installed a large extra ground cable from my block to the frame.

Good luck! I know chasing electrical gremlins is challenging.
