71 GTO Toggle Switch

I was sorting some wiring underneath the console, and I noticed a toggle switch on the lower left, just underneath the steering column. It looks like it has been there a while, and I couldn't trace the wires. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Could be a hidden kill switch to open the neutral safety circuit.

Garage
Back in the day many added fog or driving lights. There would be holes in the front end some place where the lights were mounted. No holes? That may eliminate this possibility.

Oil slick or rear mounted machine guns...rare options... Probably a kill switch. Put a meter on it and see if it has any voltage.
