Advice on loose steering for 1968 Tempest

Hey guys
My Tempest has really loose steering?
Advice on tightening up this feeling i.e steering box centering or other cheap fixes?

Depends on what's wrong with the steering. Are all the individual parts tight? Wheel bearings good and adjusted properly? What do you have for tires? Sway bar links/bushings in good shape?

LOTS of little inputs here...

MY '67's front end wallowed all over. Turns out it was the control arm bushings.

If you look in the service manual there is a procedure to tighten up your gear box, However depending on your "LOOSE" condition it may just be worn out.

Also, check the rag joint that attaches the steering column to the gear box,
