Anyone up for a tuff one? Locating my dads old 68

Hello everyone, i have a pretty good task at hand of finding my fathers old 68 gto convertible. He was young and stupid like me when he purchased it in 74. He had the car for two months and it was stolen. He told me he reported it but nothing ever became of that and i cant find any report of it being stolen. If anyone can provide any info on the car i would glady pay for the information that lead me to finding his car. He still has the title and keys for it. All i know right not is the manufacturers serial numer that is on the title.
Info:
1968 gto convertible
Sieral number: 242678P308188

Thank you for your time! I will see what i can do about getting a picture and maybe a license plate number.

Firstly, I hope you find the car. Unfortunately, in 1974 it was simply a used car, not a collector/classic car. It was probably stripped for parts, as they would have been easier to dispose of than a complete stolen car. You're talking 40 years ago, too. Again, good luck.
