bending tubing

I need to bend a short piece of fuel line tubing to 90 or 135 degrees, but dont want to spent $'s on a tubing bender.
How can I do it?

If you dont use a tubing bender, you will flatten the tube....unless you go to the local Auto Parts store and ask them to pleeeeaaaase make this one bend for me......E

Autozone let me use a tubing bender for free!


someday they may be a "real auto parts store" yet

fill tube completely with sand and bend. empty sand out of tube.

....and packing it tight enough.
If you can find a spring that fits nice around the outside, that works too.
