No didnt hit a thing. Decided it was time to get on it a bit. Took off from a light took it to 4800 rpm in 1st hit 2nd gear the whole rear jumped and that was the end result

wow, would not be surprised if it had a stress crack in it from a previous incident (could have been 20 years ago), and finally decided it was time to let go.

Years ago we had a company 1983 GM station wagon that was in a front-end collision. Body shopped fixed it up, and several years later, my coworker was driving down the highway at 55mph, and the front wheel fell off due to a broken spindle. Did not even hit a pothole when it broke!

Yeah that is what I was thinking. Just if thats the case I wish I knew what caused the stress.
