carb connections

Got my 67 Rochester back from "The Carb Shop".
WOW............awesome work for a good price.
Anyway, the big fitting on the back, does this go to the brake booster fitting?
If not where does it go?
Also , why is the dam connection so big?
I think it has a threaded fitting, and of course I'm missing the hose.
thanks in advance

Yes, it goes to the brake booster. There is a steel pipe with a male fitting that goes into the female fitting at the carb base. The other end of the pipe goes to a length of rubber hose that plugs on to the booster connector. The pipe is curved towards the booster. It's BIG because you need a big vacuum supply to the booster at all times.

metal tube line into metal carb fitting, then rubber fuel hose from tube end to booster plastic vac. fitting.
