eng compartment harness

The wire bundle for the engine compartment, it goes under the brake booster and not over the top right?
Also, in the grand sceme of powere distribution, does the alternator always have a "hot" wire?

you seem to be moving right along though, wish i could start making some forward progress with my motor install and get the hell off this body. Keep pluggin away Top, will pay off in spring when your driving it.....

Yes, If I remember correctly, the altermator wire is unfused and is spliced on top of the manifold with the + horn relay wire, the VR, the keyswitch and a wire that goes to the starter and is on the same terminal as the red battery cable.

i would like to see a pic of that. my old stiff harness laid in perfectly over the top of the M/C. right in the curve of the firewall.
