Flo~Pro mufflers? Any opinions?

Hello my GTO peeps! First post here... Seen lots of great info so I'm really glad to have a pool of experienced GTO owners to bounce some ideas off. I got my '72 about a month ago and have lived with it long enough to be getting a clearer picture of what I want to do with it.

Muffler is a priority. The Previous owner went to Meineke and had something thrown on underneath. It's mean and loud... way too loud.

Got a recommendation on a local shop from a buddy who had his '67 Chevelle exhaust done there. The exhaust guy (does lots of muscle cars and hot rods) is suggesting some Flo~Pro mufflers.

Anyone has any experience with these?

Here's what I'm working with now:

Thanks for your insight!

Haven't heard of that brand. First thing I would do would be to swap out the 4.11s, I had 3.90s when I bought the car and wouldn't even take it out of town it rev'd so high on the highway.

Hi Rukee. Sweet ride!
I had not heard of the brand either. The exhaust guy said he would be willing to cut out my muffler and 'try' a couple different ones to check the sound. I'd really like to hear a MagnaFlow.

Since you brought it up.... gearing is another high priority for me. I'll post a separate thread on that topic.

What type / size cam is in there

Believe it or not, with the radical cam in there, it sounds about right.
It sounds very healthy, no sniffles.

I don't think it sounds bad, it's just too loud for my liking. My goal is really just to take the volume down a bit.

I didn't build this engine, so I can't tell you what the cam is... sorry.
