Gto Oiling

Does anyone know which way to prime the oil pump in a 65 389 clockwise or counterclockwise. 65 gto 389 Tri-power. Another one back to life.
Sorry if I did this wrong, new here.

Prime the pump by turning it the same way the distributor turns: COUNTERCLOCKWISE. Use a smooth running drill. NEVER an impact gun. I usually use an old screwdriver blade that I ground to the shape of the slot in the oil pump drive.......Anything else, just ask. This should probably be in the tech/resto section. The board will probably let you live this time as you are new here!!! Eric
