GTO's influence

On "CBS News Sunday Morning" this past Sunday, the 1964 GTO was named on of the 15 cars that had the most influence on American society. If you go to "www.cbsnews.com/sunday-morning/" you can view the segment online.

..and if you go to that site and view the photo gallery, the GTO is the first photo that comes up - as it should be.

And all the GTO photos are of 69's.

It was a very interesting episode. Didn't catch the whole show but is all this in a newly published book?

Yes. The guy interviewed wrote the book. The book title is mentioned during the segment.
