I have installed a new under the hood wiring harness on my 1967 GTO as part of my restoration. I noticed that the old harness had a three prong female plug that plugged into the horn relay. The new harness, which I bought from Ame's and is suppose to be an exact copy of the original harness, has a two prong female plug. I do not yet know if this will work because I am in the process of restoring the car and not to the point where I can blow the horn. Anyone else run across this situation?
Problem solved. I called Ame's today and they gave me the phone number of the maker of the wiring harness. It turns out that you need to two prong female end and then the hot wire is connected to the engine harness. So you need two wiring harnesses to make the horn relay work.
By the way my horns do not work nor does my heater/ac blower motor. Maybe another situation where I need Scott's help if he is up to another wiring adventure.
