how is 1967 Lemans console shifter plate attached

I am in the final stages of restoring my 67 Lemans and cannot recall how the center console shifter plate attaches to the main body. I have attached a picture of what mine looks like for reference.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

IIRC there are "spring tabs" on the underside of the shifter plate/escutcheon that just snap into the console top.

Thanks for the quick reply.
So would I use springs to attach the plate. I Have attached pictures of the bottom of the shifter plate and do not see anywhere to attach anything. would it be possible I am missing a part. I also attached pictures of the console top and bottom for reference.

Thank you

well a good bummer

look closely
the rivets failed

the spring clips are in the console housing ... stuck ,,,, I see em
and

the underside of the plate shows the failed rivet ..

Possibly a small screw, Depending on the plate thickness.
A good epoxy may also work, it just needs to hold it down so no real stress.
