I hope someone can help. . .really strange vibration

Here's a bit of a strange one for ya. 1969 GTO, 200R4, Edelbrock Performer Intake and Edelbrock Performer 1411 750cfm 4bbl.
The car runs great, pulls strong. However, there is a really weird vibration at around 60-65 mph ONLY after I have accelerated hard, like WOT or close to it.
If I just casually accelerate there is nothing strange at all - as a matter of fact she runs/rides as smooth as a caddy!
But after hard acceleration, once I lift off, there is a wicked vibration. The hood shakes, the console shakes, the dash shakes, I can feel it in the pedals, etc
It's almost as if the rear end may have an issue...
Anyone ever experienced anything like this, or have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Joe

My first guess is a bad u-joint. They can do some funny things...

I hope this works, as this is my 100th post. I would hate for it to be a dud!

Thanks 64GTOconvertible - I'm going to take a look at both U-joints this weekend - and I will let you know.
