I'm so excited, I don't know what to say !!!!

Just for fun I did a google search for the dealership listed on my window sticker. It came up and they have a website !! It said it's still family owned, so I call and ask for someone in a management position about a car that originally came from there. I just had a 20 minute conversation with the OWNER who is the son of the founder !!! He feels certain that he would've prepped the car for delivery as a teenager working there. I asked if he would possibly have any archival info about the car. His reply was that his mother kept very good records and NEVER threw any out. He isn't quite sure where to look but he is fairly certain that he can find THE ORIGINAL SALES INVOICES FOR IT..... It would be great to get copies of them and possibly the original owners info. He said he still knows most of the people who live in the area and bought cars, so if they are still around, he could talk to them and pass on my info. I am SOOOOOOO pumped right now, I can't stand still to type.....

Mitch, that is as good as it gets. Congratulations, and I hope you can get the documents. As I get older, I'm finding that tracking down the history of these vehicles is more and more fascinating.

Mitch -- nice find! You should ask the owner whether he has any NOS parts for your goat on the parts shelf. Also, the way your luck is going today, I would recommend the purchase of a lottery ticket. Good news. Regards, Paul.

Sweet deal!

I called the dealership in MD where mine was sold. Some manager kinda brushed me off saying they don't keep records that old. oh well.

Grats to you!
