Opinions on this 70 Lemans

I have talked to the guy and said the price is negotiable. The car is running and only has surface rust according to the guy. It is missing the head light, but he does have them. Is this car worth going to look at?

Looks pretty solid, but he didn't get any pics where the rust would be on the car. Have him send good pictures of the lower quarters, rockers, fill panel behind the rear window, frame and floor pan pics. It is a southern car, so the frame shouldn't be a pile of rust. The motor looks good, and has expensive headers, so the builder intentions were good.

Burning rubber since 1982!!
My photobucket, lots of dif car pics.

It just may be me and my eyesight - but - Does that engine look "small" (i.e. Chevy)? I could be wrong...

It's got a Chevy engine in it and it looks like all the A/C stuff is gone.
The rear seat looks OK but somebody did a crappy job on those front seat covers.

I'd be very cautious about the body panels; that half-primer job must be hiding something.

If it runs, drives and stops well with no major issues and all the moldings and trim parts come with the car, I might go $2500...tops.

I paid just a little more than his asking price for my car. It was a running, driving GTO (not original engine) that was originally built in California and spent its life in California and Nevada. I think you can do better than this.

1968 Pontiac GTO
1983 Pontiac Bonneville (G) wagon
2008 Pontiac G8 base
