painless harness quirk

not sure if this is correct forum but-- I rewired my car with a painless 18 circuit wire harness- I wired the electric cooling fans directly into the hot accessory on the fuse box. My horn shorted out and my gauge lights would not light. I think the draw was to high and screwed the wiring adjacent to the hot accs. outlet on the fuse panel. I have switched it so the signal from the fuse panel goes to a relay. seems to have fixed the problem

I feel every high amp draw circuit should go through a relay and not the fuse box. Sounds like you fixed the problem.

correct, fan circuit is separate, not connected through fuse panel. as mentioned, separate relay and fuses \ circuit breakers.
