Pleasant Diversion

A lot of us old folks remember watching "I Dream of Jeannie" back in the '60's. Major Nelson (Larry Hagman) always drove a new GTO convertible, starting out with a dark (it was black and white TV in the first season) '65. There's a couple of clips on youtube titled "I Dream of Jeannie-Pontiacs", part 1 and 2. It's excellent, and shows footage of those brand -new GTO ragtops. Note the rim/wheel changes from scene to scene, and also how "dull" the cars appeared compared to the over-restored finishes of today. That was GM's Mirror Glaze laquer, and that's how it looked! Anyway, check it out, it's kinda fun.

Agree...nice diversion

I kept trying to get a closer look at the steering wheel in the 67 GTO, looked like a wood wheel
