PS hoses

Do I need to put teflon tape on my power steering hose connections?

Didn't use it back in the day. But don't see that it would hurt anything so if you want to do it!! Those flared ends still real tight anyway.

On the high pressure side, the flared end of the fitting provides the seal. Doubtful that teflon tape would be able to seal under that much pressure if the fitting couldn't. On the low pressure side, it's so easy to seal that you don't really need it there.

!!!! Never use Teflon tape, especially on flaired fittings. If you feel the need to use a sealer, use a liquid teflon coating.
