Ram air tube

Hi,newbie here.I'm looking at a 1970 gto ram air,the one that has a manual knob on the dash.
But on driver side the port out on air cleaner that would be fed by warm air input is capped off,
And the port it would connect to is open,no hose connecting these two.
Is this ok?
I appreciate any input, again I'm new with gto"
Thanks,
Bob H

I see you have the shroud on the exhaust manifold. A pre-heat tube/duct then went up to what looks like a 90 degree plastic elbow that goes into the hole at the bottom of the base.

Someone must have blocked yours off to keep heat from going into the set-up to keep it cooler - makes sense to me, I'd probably do the same thing.

Just to follow up, I have saved these pics for reference and in the pics of the engine, you can see the heat tubes that are used on the RA IV engine, one on each side. The RA III will only have the drivers side attached.
