I did something really stupid that used to work really well. I used 0000 steel wool dipped in chrome polish and did the face of one of my spokes on my chrome Crager wheels. Now the spoke looks really dull compared to the others that are like a mirror. Can I polish my way out of this or am I going to ruin the chrome more? The chrome in in very good shape otherwise.:surprise:
Flitz or Simichrome will get those fine scratches out, but you will have to put a little time in it. I would try using
the heel of my hand and bear down on the strokes.
What ralph7 said. That, or Meguires polishing compound. The chrome on those wheels is very thick, and you should have no issue getting the scratches out and restoring the appearance, other than plenty of time and elbow grease!
