Searching for dad's '67

Well with as many users search this forum everyday i might have a chance. Im looking for my dads old 67 GTO. He sold it in Enterprise, AL around 1991, it was gold at the time and had the old cragar 5 spoke wheels. It had a gold interior also. I realize its a long shot as any information i had on it was lost when my parents house flooded in '96. From what i remember it had engine electrical problems. My dad knew nothing about cars and i was 10-11. My dad was military and the car might of had a cobra helicopter plate on the front. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Nate

Got a VIN? With the car being in that kind of condition (clean and sharp) as late as 1991, it was already a classic, and a "keeper". Odds are very high it is still around and in someone's posession. A VIN and any small details would be a huge help....what options did it have? Sick or Auto? A/C? etc. etc. If he had sold it in 1971 it would be a whole diferent story...and probably a Hyundai or a shovel by now!!
