Simple suspension question.

I almost feel ashamed asking this question.... but here goes.

Are drop amounts cumulative? I’m assuming they are. Like if I had 1” drop springs, and 1” drop spindles it would drop the car 2”?

But I also assume that 1” drop shocks don’t actually drop the vehicle as shocks don’t support weight.

Sounds about right to me. Keep in mind that the drop will also drop your oil pan closer to the road and clearance can become an issue, or at least something to always be aware of - unless you are planning on compensating the drop with taller rims like 18's, 19's etc..

Shocks won't affect the drop, but you may want to make sure that you match the shock travel to your suspension drop to get the correct compression/extension rebound. I suspect you can purchase adjustable shocks to fine tune things, but I would think you still want to make sure to have the stroke of the shock rod to match suspension travel.
