spoiler attachment

when attaching the rear spoiler on a 69 gto is there something that goes between the spoiler and the truck? The guy at the restoration shop in town told me there is nothing inbetween and I wanted to make sure.

Thanks,

Scott

Garage
There are some pads that go on the ends of the spoiler so it does'nt scratch the quarter panels. But as far as where the spoiler bolts to the car, no.
