On stand

Finally got my new bottle jack for my engine hoist. And finally got my motor on the stand. YAY!
my stand, which I used before is a harbor freight special and am pretty sure its rated at over 1000 lbs, still makes me nervous having that much weight up in the air.
Wonder if I should remove the exhaust manifolds to make it safer..(like its gonna matter if 450 lbs falls on me rather that 600 lbs lol)
safety is the key as with any endeavor
gonna turn it over and pull the pan and windage tray tonite and see what I can see.....

good day to all

Tk I put a diagonal support on my engine stand because I didn't feel comfortable with it. I just used a scrap piece of 2" square tubing and welded it in where it wouldn't interfere with the rotation of the engine. It made a huge difference. I also replaced the wheels with some 3" locking casters and now I'm not afraid to roll it around either.
