tranny to carb connection?

The shop that worked on my Goat ran the line I had from the tranny to a vaccum conn on the carb, to the rear p side bolt on the carb?
it runs ok.
but im confused..............The GTO Wizzard told me the tranny needs"full vaccum"
ideas?

TK, That is full vacuum, as it is beneath the throttle plates......Eric

TK, Eric is right. The original vacuum source for the trans line is a metal pipe pressed into the carb, but I understand you have a non-original carb. No worries, manifold vacuum is manifold vacuum. Ported vacuum is above the throttle plates, manifold below. when the throttle is stabbed, the throttle plates open, and manifold vacuum drops to near zero. The transmission modulator senses this vacuum change, and in conjunction with the governor (which senses engine speed) it "tells" the trans when to shift.

I'll be dammed......that there carb mounting stud IS HOLLOW!!!
I shoved a piece of stiff wire 5'' into it.
you 2 are the bomb!!

take the rest of the war off!!!
