What is it #22

I found 4 of these at the GTO's grave site.
any ideas? They are 5'' long.

Lower Head Bolt!! The top head bolts are under the value covers, the lowers you can see in engine bay. The top threads above the head of the bolt are for a nut to hold the battery cable, battery cable tube, or some accessory item...

On mine I have in the middle 3 bolts under the valve cover holding the splash shields on. One holding the negative battery cable. I am also pretty sure it held down the heat riser sheet metal that the round preheat tube to the air cleaner was connected to.

You need two of these head bolts at least. I don't think I've ever seen 5 on a car, but it's possible. Yes, one is for the neg batt cable to bolt to, and the other is for the heat tube where the pos cable goes to the starter at the rear of the head. See underhood photos for reference. Driver's side head, lower bolts.

Musta been 1/2 asleep....5 1/2 " is a bit long for a rocker stud!
