05gto vs 01 cobra(Not S/C)

Hey guys,

So I'm driving my 05 gto from work to home and this cobra drives by me grinning. So I play along thinking this guy is going to smoke my ass but as we get to the line we rev our engines and then the take off. I catch this fool from the line. Beatin feet like no other(movin my ass).Shifting from first to second, then to third and that man is far back there. So we go at it again but this time going at a 40mph roll. WE honk three times and i down shift from third to second. Smokin that cobra's ass twice. Then I drove away slapping him with the big goat ****.

My mods on the 05 gto manual with K/n CAI and kooks headers and hi-flow cats and diablo tuned. Soon ill have my spintech exhaust. **** is taking forever to ship from Maryland speed. I was thinking of changing the gears to 3:91 ratio. What do you guys think?

01 Cobra mods were a magnaflow cat back exhaust,CAI intake and 4:10 gears. (no S/C)

good kill, about the rear gear just depends...
you want to be an all out redlight sprinter or you want to have that long touring gear ability still ? personally i probably wont change my gears.. already these cars have a pretty high ratio, compared to my fbody it always has higher rpm's at cruising speed

K&N CAI, lightly ported stock TB/INT, JBA Hpipe, Spintech Side Exh. ([email protected] r/t .8800 60' 2.06)

Agree with Kyle on that one. Personally if I were you I would drop in the LS3 heads and Comp Cams camshaft with what you already have you will pick up 86hp and still retain 25mpg fuel economy. Pontiac Enthusiast magazine just did that upgrade on a 05 GTO and said the total cost with headers was $2000. The heads are $400 each assembled, will need a couple things like fuel rail spacers etc. Look up the article, it's on this website somewhere. "LS2 upgrade" I think its titled.

Might have to register to read there magazine, its the march/april 2008 issue. Free to register and read BTW.
