Had a Jeep with with an LS2 have a go at me

Ran into a guy who had more money then sense a few nights ago that dropped an LS2 into a Jeep Wrangler that had a lift kit and giant tires for mudding. He had a nice paint job or vinyle wrap with checkered flags going down the sides of the jeep and wrapping around the back. I passed him up on the interstate and heard his exhaust note as I was going by thinking, wow, that thing aint stock.

He got in the lane behind me and paced me so I hit the gas and off we went. He never really kept up with me, was a slow steady pull away from him, by the time I was up to 120 he was long gone. I slowed back up and he caught up to me again. We both got off at the same exit and he pulled up beside me at the stop light and motioned for me to roll my window down.

He asked me what year my car was, I told him 06. He asked if that was the 6 litre LS2, I said ya. He said he put the same crate motor in his jeep. Paid about 6 grand for it. I laughed and told him I thought it was cool as hell. You never know what you'll run into out on the street.

That same night, I blew the doors off a punk that had a Mustang with a Stalker body kit and obnoxiously loud exhaust who thought his sheeyot didn't stink. But, that wasn't as fun as running with the Jeep...

You would think he would just do a Hemi drop rather then a GM motor.

2003 Corvette Z06 - MGW shifter, Corsa X pipe, Corsa Xtreme exhaust, Texas Speed long tubes w/o cats, PowerStop rotors/pads, Conti DWS tires, C6Z51 F&R sways, C5R headlights, tuned

04 GTO - sold

GM motors are cheaper and smaller.
