S197 goes down to the Z
I was heading toward home on a stretch of 4 lane higway 441 coming out of Orlando. I went through a little town called Zellwood and noticed in my mirror the unmistakeable lights of an S197 Mustang GT. He was about 15 car lengths back with no cars between us.
Unfortunately the light in Zellwood didn't give us and opportunity.
Further down the road I noticed he started coming up a bit quick so I let him get about 5 cars back and stepped down to match pace. We quickly came up on some traffic and worked through it. He jumped on i, I wasn't completely expecting him to flat out nail it so I didn't get on it very quickly. Still by the time he got his front bumper even with mine I stopped his pull and started pulling on him. Call that one a 55 to 95 run
We came up on traffic again and let up. We worked our way through that group and he did the same thing again, nailed it right out of the group of cars. He didn't come close to my bumper this time and ended up only getting within about 2-1/2 car lengths before I started pulling on him and opened about 3 more car lengths on him. We came up on another group of cars. Call that one a 60-110 run.
I picked my way through the loose group of 15 or so cars. I lost him in the pack and kept looking for the headlights and foglights to come out of the pack, but they didn't. The only car to make it's way out of the pack had just regular lights. I assumed he turned off on the back way into Mount Dora.
Just as I relaxed, the car with the regular lights had been slowly speeding up and bam it was him with his foglights off attempting an ambush ricer fly by.
He never made it around me, but got almost equal with me this time. It had a body kit to it and I could hear his exhaust over my exhaust at WOT. I didn't see any Roush or Saleen decals, and it was definately modded. He went down though.
