track time?

Ok I have a 2006 GTO a4, with a CAI, ported throttle body, and muffler delete. I went to the track (1000 ft) by my house and ran.

2.0 60 ft
8.4 1/8-86 mph
10.77 1000 ft-99 mph

on cheap tires.

Is this a good 1000 ft time?

That is not too shabby - at that rate you would be aroung the low 13's in the 1/4 - your 60' time is not good because of your tires - get it hooked up and you would most likely be in the high 12's!!

Actually your sixty is very good for street tires. Most people aren't going to get much better than a 2.0 sixty without going to sticky race compound tires.

I got no doubt this is what your time slip said but I owned a 81 malibu with a 355 and 3.73 gears. It ran 1.70 60ft. and 7.70 @ 86 in the 8th. Don't trust just one dragstrip
because the numbers don't add up.
