track time

Today I was at the E-town in jersey with my 05 A4 GTO. My first run I got a 13.9 but half way down the track my back started to whip so I had to let off the gas. My best run was a 13.8 I have intake and tune. Each run it felt like I couldnt get good grip and I would spin a little bit in the beginning. My 60' time was 2.2. Any tips on how to get good launch?

Drag Radials at about 12-14 PSI. And not to be rude but learn how to drive and launch your car. When i got my car stock i ran 13.0-13.1. Now with good tires and a few extras 12.3. Alot of people have a hard time launching, its learned over a period of time.

That sounds low to me. It is a radial tire. They don't benefit much from being run low on air. It's not a slick. 25lbs. worked fine for me.

<-- Guess which ones quicker?.....Nope! Not even close.

My bad I ment slick. But I don't floor it out the gate. After about 3k rpm in first I can open the throttle up and in second I have no loss of traction, only with stock tires.
